DogFinder have been selected as an DogFancy Editors Choice Award 2010. With the Nina Ottosson Dog Finder Puzzle Toy, your dog is challenged to learn to slide plastic bones both horizontally and vertically with either their nose or paws to find the hidden treats. And then to get to the last treat, your dog has to lift the bones that only come off at one end of the slide. On a scale of difficulty from 1 high to 3 low, this game is a 2.
This video on You Tube will show you a dog playing with The Finder Dog Treat Toy as well as the Twister.
You can also play Dog Treat Finder with your cat but make sure you don't call it the Dog Finder or they'll think the game is beneath them and they won't want to play.
Tips and Important Warnings:- You can mix some tasty dog food with water, pour some of the mixture in the hollows, put the game in the freezer and let it set. This is perfect for hot days or when your dog needs some extra activity because they'll have to lick to get the treats out of the hollow and this will take them more time.
- Don't let your dog or cat bite the puzzle and only play Dog Finder together with the dog or cat under supervision; don't leave them alone with the puzzle game for even one minute. Put the game away where your dog can't find it after you're done playing.
- This might seem obvious but only play Dog Finder with your cat or dog--not with your children.
- After each play session, use mild detergent and wash out the Finder and then dry it because you don't want bacteria to on the surfaces of the game in between play sessions. The game and the pieces are also dishwasher safe but make sure you put them on the top shelf.
To ensure safety, the durable plastic has no sharp edges, is non-toxic and dishwasher safe. We sell only the plastic versions of the Nina Ottosson toys because their toxicity testing meets our safety standards.
