 To say that I'm a dog devotee is an understatement. I live in the wonderful Land of Dog. I have loved dogs for as long as I can remember and continue to love the dogs I live with now (you'll see pictures of Gracie and Tess throughout this website and on the happydogsplay.com blog). As dog people, you and I are both willing to love our dogs even knowing that our time with them is never going to be long enough. We're almost required to live in the present, not because that's how we believe dogs live, but because we know that every minute counts. We actively love our dogs and they love us and having all that love in our lives is what makes everything better. To our dogs and to us, love is definitely an active verb. After working for 25 years in corporate America, my job was eliminated and this became one of those defining moments in life, the one where I realized I could play it safe and find another corporate job or where I could take that metaphoric big leap and believe that the net would indeed appear. And following my heart and my passion for all things dog, I leapt. My goal is to make happydogsplay.com a place where I would want to shop. I love to buy my dogs new toys when the old ones wear out but I need to know that the toys I buy are safe for my dogs and safe for the planet. So, all the toys sold here have been safety-tested by the manufacturer and then re-tested for lead and other heavy metals by ExposingLead.com, a company right here in Roswell, GA (20 miles north of Atlanta).
